Delete your Octo Tend data
Octo Tend has no accounts. Your habits, notes and reflections are stored only on your device, and we never receive them.
How to delete your data
- Data on your phone. Uninstall Octo Tend, or go to Settings → Apps → Octo Tend → Storage → Clear storage. This permanently removes your habits, notes, reflections, settings and what the home-screen widgets show.
- Your phone’s backup. If Android backup is turned on, your Google account may hold a copy of Octo Tend’s data inside your device backup. It is removed when that backup is replaced or deleted. You can manage device backups in your phone’s backup settings, usually Settings → Google → Backup; the exact path depends on your phone.
- Purchase records. Email contact@seacreature.dev with the subject “Delete my Octo Tend data” and include the Google Play order number from your purchase receipt email (it starts with
GPA.). We will delete your purchase record from our subscription service, RevenueCat, within 30 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your habits, notes, reflections and settings, when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
- Your purchase and subscription history held by RevenueCat on our behalf, when you ask us by email.
What is kept
- Transaction records kept by Google Play under Google’s own policies. We cannot delete these.
- Advertising and diagnostic data collected by Google AdMob and Firebase, which Google controls under its privacy policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s privacy settings, usually Settings → Security & privacy → Ads.
- Records we are required to keep by law, for as long as the law requires.
Cancelling a subscription
Deleting your data does not cancel an active subscription. To cancel, open Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
